A special episode of 'Uttaran' to introducing a new person

In Saturday special episode Veer's (Nandish Sandhu) mother Gunwanti has decided to throw a  birthday party for him. She has a plan behind this as she is going to call a few girls for this party, so that Veer can choose one of them as his life partner.

A source says, On this special episode, "There is a new entry in the show. We are introducing the character of Kinjal who is Veer's childhood friend. Kinjal meets Veer after many years at this party. She is a typical Gujarati girl. Her character is very bubbly.      Apurva, who is debuting in the industry with this show, will essay this character.

Veer is very surprised to see her. Later he realizes that his mother has invited all the girls only for him and he feels awkward . Kinjal notices that Veer is not comfortable as well as not interested in any of these girls. She takes him away from the crowd and enquires about his nervousness. She suggests him that if he will dance with her then he will feel better but Veer refuses. Kinjal then leaves and Veer thinks that Kinjal has changed and has become quite haughty. Currently Kinjal's character is a cameo but if it works well for the show then we will extend her track. Meanwhile Jogi Thakur is going to bring Tapasya back in the haveli, though we are yet to develop her pregnancy track."

It is said that Gunwanti likes Kinjal and plans to get her to marry Veer. In Saturday's episode apart from Kinjal, Jagdish and Anandi from Balika Vadhu will also perform on a romantic number while Ammaji appears to bless Veer.

SRK's best wishes to ''Khichdi -The Movie team.

The entire team of Khichdi The Movie met their inspiration SRK at Filmistan studio where the superstar was welcomed warmly with a bouquet and a big ticket for Khichdi The Movie. SRK greeted the entire cast personally and everyone was extremely glad to have him amongst them. The superstar firstly humbly apologized for not meeting the Khichdi parivaar earlier outside Mannat as he was busy shooting. He then addressed everyone and showered all his good wishes, great luck to them for their movie and wished that the movie is a big Hit just like the big ticket given to him. Interestingly, he also revealed that few of his friends saw the movie and told him how great it was, so he himself is going to try and catch the late night show after his pack up.

SRK congratulated the entire Khichdi team, Fox Star, the technicians, everyone for a great concept of making a successful serial into a comedy movie that can be enjoyed with the entire family. He said to all, "Please go out and watch this film if you feel like laughing with your family, I can assure you it will be a fun filled evening."

Kareena was delighted to be a part of Mahindra's PowerScooter

After riding a two-wheeler in the blockbuster film "3 Idiots", actress Kareena Kapoor has now been appointed as the brand ambassador of Mahindra's new two-wheeler PowerScooter.

"My experience with Mahindra scooter dates back to two years ago, when I rode a Mahindra PowerScooter in '3 Idiots'. I am delighted to be working with them," Kareena said.

The 30-year-old will feature in a multimedia campaign for the brand. The first campaign will be for the Mahindra Rodeo, which will be launched later this month.

Kareena said: "Rodeo is a youthful, fun and fresh brand. It has the right mix of style and power."

SRK in Vienna's Univeristy.

The Univeristy of Vienna's department of social anthropology dedicated a three-day international academic conference to Shah Rukh Khan. On till today, the conference included 40 scholars presenting papers about Shah Rukh Khan and Global Bollywood.

"There is a three-day conference on me in Vienna. I am humbled and proud that Indian cinema is becoming a global platform for discussion," Khan wrote on the microblogging website Twitter.

Khan, who has a massive fan following in Germany and Austria amongst other nations, has on several occasions marketed his movies in these nations. His last movie, My Name is Khan, had a red carpet premiere in Germany. Now Khan is looking to visit Vienna soon: "It would be great to revisit the country and go to their university."

Salman's special appearance on Tees Maar Khan.

After two blockbusters Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, Farah Khan is ready with her next good film Tees Maar Khan. In this film  Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Akshaye Khanna are the lead roles.

One of the highlights of the film is a special dance picturies on Akshay, Katrina and Salman Khan (in a special appearance). The song was recently shot at Mumbai's Film City.

Speaking about this song, Farah says, "This is a special dance number called 'Wallah Re Wallah'. It's a full-on qawalli set in a typical Muslim mohalla though I have also incorporated certain Moroccan elements. In the initial script, this song was to be set in a club but when Salman agreed to do the song, I thought of changing the setting. Salman, Akshay and Katrina are all seen in typical Muslim attire and we had a blast shooting for the song. I had done a qawalli in Main Hoon Na too but that was more of a Disco-qawalli, this one however is a full- on proper qawalli. The song is composed by Vishal-Shekhar and sung by Shreya Ghoshal, Raja Hassan and newcomer Kamaal Khan


Farah also says that initially there were no plans of having Salman in the song but it was the media which kept putting up stories of Salman making a guest appearance in Tees Maar Khan so much so that Farah actually gave it a serious thought.

Neha Janpandit is back to Balaji Telefilms.

Neha Janpandit who was earlier finalized to essay the role of Nupur in Balaji Telefims', Tere Liye had backed out from enacting the role as they had asked her to reduce her pay package.
But now, the production house approached her again to play the same role and after amicably agreeing on terms and conditions, Neha Janpandit is back and has started the shoot for the same serial.

When contacted, Neha Janpandit confirmed the news saying, "Yes Balaji Telefilms approached me again to play the same role and everything is sorted out now. As the entry had to happen soon I started the shoot immediately."

Also Neha Janpandit will be seen enacting the role of Nupur who is a typical business woman from USA and Anurag is madly in love with her. Now with Nupur's entry, it's now to be seen how Anurag and Taani's  love would grow.

Rishi neetu is come back in ''DO DOONI CHAR"

A star couple Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor are set to create magic on the big screen once again by acting together in the comedy 'Do Dooni Char', which is releasing Friday.

Neetu made a very brief appearance with Rishi in 'Love Aaj Kal', but 'Do Dooni Char' is their first fully role together afer 1980 movie 'Dhan Dhaulat'.

Produced by Planman Motion Pictures' for Rs.700 million and distributed by Walt Disney India, the social comedy is the directorial debut of Habib Faisal. Archit Krishna and Aditi Vasudev also star in pivotal roles.

We contacted Ragini Khanna who confirms, "Yes, I will be hosting the show and it was wonderful experience to host the whole show with Karan Patel. It took almost two hours to complete the shoot. But the experience was incredible."
